Studio Bloom are Tunbridge Wells based architects & designers specialising in contemporary, sustainable and bespoke architecture. We take on commissions for clients that are looking for something a little bit different and are interested in a creative approach to a design solution. We work collaboratively with a range of design professionals and we always keep our clients at the centre of our collaboration.

 

 

Design Ethos

Architecture is a sensory experience. Good design should provoke our memories, enhance our daily encounters, challenge our preconceptions, make positive impacts on our planet and lift our senses. Studio Bloom find inspiration in the every day ordinary and the exquisite extraordinary.

Residential

Be it a one off dwelling or a large housing scheme, we believe the basic principals of home are applicable to each and every project. We work with our clients to understand

the intricacies of their day to day life, we explore their aspirations and then we create spaces around these activities and to support these dreams. Our homes are softened by their landscapes and creating a seamless inside-outside connection is key to our designs.

 

 

Sport & Leisure

Studio Bloom have worked on a number of sport and leisure facilities, from visitor centres to climbing walls. We design around building flow, peak capacity, customer vs staff areas, technical climatic requirements and the importance of creating a building that epitomises a sport, club or charity’s ethos. We understand the challenges of funding and

relish the opportunity to give back to our communities through these types of social buildings.

 

 

Workplace

Co-working, flexible space, quiet work pods and social meeting spaces, coupled with natural materials and the integration of technology inspire Studio Bloom’s workplace design. We spend over a third of our waking hours at work, so we believe that our office environments should be inspiring, tactile and well designed for a range of working needs.

 

Recreation

From ski chalets perched on the edge of a mountain to private villas nestled into palm trees. Studio Bloom understand that a home away from home should be an opportunity to indulge in sustainable luxury. Our buildings are design to step lightly on the earth, to be as self-sufficient as possible and to use locally sourced materials and workforce, giving back to the local economy and environment.

Studio Bloom are creative, visual and technical designers. At Studio Bloom we pride ourselves on our process and relationship with our clients. We offer design solutions, tailored to and reflective of each individual client’s requirements, personalities and ambitions.

 

 

Our Design Approach

Our approach to a project is through the understanding of a site, with it’s unique environmental qualities and constraints, coupled with a thorough interpretation of our client’s brief, we design from the inside out. We explore designs through sketches, models and 3D renders. We work through a project from sketch concept, client workshops and detail design resolution.

 

 

Our Qualifications

Studio Bloom are fully qualified, registered and RIBA Chartered Architects. We have experience in planning applications and building control, working with many different local authority councils as well as with private consultants. We have made successful applications for contemporary developments within areas of outstanding natural beauty (AONB) and sites located in the metropolitan green belt.
